Andrew van Paridon

Researcher and Lecturer in Aerospace Engeering

  • LinkedIn

My research interests center around thermal management in aerospace applications such as spacecraft and jet engines, and how we can leverage models to improve performance outputs.  My current projects include radiator designs for nuclear electric propulsion systems and mission profiles for smallsat demonstrators. I am also keenly interested in education and enjoy developing new course materials for my classes.  I have taught courses in rigid body dynamics, statics, spacecraft propulsion, orbital mechanics, aircraft dynamics and differential equations. I am the academic director of the Distance Learning Master of Engineering program at Cornell, as well as co-director of the SmallSat Mission Design School.

I am a senior research associate and lecturer at Cornell University
